Create Your Own Niche: Become a Category of One

Create Your Own Niche: Become a Category of One

One of my favorite writers online, David Perell says the internet rewards unique people. He says you must find your unique combination of skills, interests, and personality traits, which ultimately becomes your Personal Monopoly.

He goes on to say that the difference between finding a niche and creating one mirrors the difference between existing demand and created demand. He concludes by stating, when you build a Personal Monopoly, you're creating demand for an idea that people didn't know they were interested in. That analogy reminds me of the genius behind the iPhone. Steve Jobs created a demand for a device that none of us knew we ever wanted but desperately needed.

My background is in Public Relations, but I've come to love Decentralized Social (DeSo) and the productivity app Notion. I've created my own category of one by combining my love for DeSo and Notion into the acronym DeSoNo = DeSo + Notion.

My mission is to help creators, brands, and PR Professionals, go from zero knowledge of decentralized social to making dough with DeSo. In the sea of sameness, differentiation is free marketing and publicity. It's all about the Blue Ocean, baby. By focusing on a specific audience, you create a powerful brand that stands out from the pack. I'm hosting a class for PR Professionals next week.

Why I Love DeSo

DeSo enables users to earn money without having to rely on likes or followers. Yes, you heard that right, whether you're a freelancer, a business owner, or simply looking for extra income, DeSo offers an intuitive, easy-to-use platform that pays users based on the quality of their content rather than the number of likes they receive.

DeSo believes that you, the creator, should be able to monetize your content without having to worry about if you're liked. DeSo is an innovative platform that allows users to make money from their content by getting paid directly from their supporters. Users simply post their content as they would on any other social platform, but when they do, they can get paid. You can start earning immediately by simply posting your content. Yes, simply post and earn. No other platform even comes close and now with their Twitter integration, you can finally monetize every tweet.

Another reason why I love the platform is because of its leader, Nader Al-Naji. What truly impresses me about him is his honesty. His actions show he is a person of integrity and worthy of trust. That's very rare right now in crypto and in the world in general.

Why I Love Notion

Notion is an amazing productivity app. I use it as my digital notetaker, which helps me do the following:

Idea Prep For YouTube Videos

Writing The Daily DeSo Newsletter

Creating My Community Magnet

My favorite thing about Notion is its ease of use and now it comes with an AI writing assistant. You can embed links, and videos, create planners and get help writing. There's an entire community you can tap into on Twitter, Reddit and DeSo.

If you haven't tried it, get started with Notion today for FREE using my referral link.

So what are you skilled and passionate about? How can you combine the two and create a monopoly or category of one for yourself? Spend some time thinking about that. But even if you have no idea, connect with me on DeSo and you'll see what a great community it is to be a part of.

How I Can Help You

If you can answer yes to the following then please sign up for my upcoming DeSo Masterclass:

Whenever you're embarking on a new endeavor, remember this quote by Charlie Tremendous Jones. Where were you five years ago? Are you the same person? If not, congratulations. If so, you need to read more books and interact with more people. I'm inviting you to interact with me. The choice is yours. Be sure to download my free notion planner to get started.
